Good news & bad news - The good news ... Governor Joe Kernan signed a document to transfer roughly 1,000 acres of prime riverfront property from the Army to the State's Department of Natural Resources for Charlestown State Park.  The addition make the park Indiana's third largest state park, after Brown County and Versailles State Parks. Indiana DNR has enacted geocaching policies for caches placed in Indiana State Parks.

The bad news ... management at Charlestown State Park has removed all geocaches hidden at the park.  Rangers at this park have decided they will allow 5 caches in this 5,100 acres park.  A request form must be submitted for approval before any caches can be hidden.  To date, none of the caches requested have been approved.

Lone Cacher - Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lone Cacher who is battling illness.  We miss you on trail.  Thanks for all you have done for geocaching in the State of Indiana.

Indiana Geocaching Groups - Are there organized geocaching groups in Indiana?  Let us know about your group. We will post links to your events, web sites, etc.

Milestones - The 2005 InKy Crew North Carolina trip wasn't without a few milestones.  A fourtheen member crew of the Southern Indiana and Louisville area invaded North & South Carolina on a four day caching and hiking spree.  Milestones for the trip were Deermark, 4,000th find, Lumberjack Tom, 2,000th find and PrairePartners 2,000 find.  Special congratulations to PrairePartners, who started caching in May, 2004.  That's right, 2,000 finds in less than a year!
